Peggy began her painting career with a blue ribbon for her watercolor at the Laguna Beach Art Festival at age 8. After a hiatus of almost fifty years and an international career in health and fitness, she decided to nurture her soul with a new diet, and is painting once again.

Peggy is a member of SCAPE (Southern California Artists Painting for the Environment), SBAA (Santa Barbara Art Association) and was accepted into the GVAA (Goleta Valley Art Association) with three juror’s blue ribbons in her first year. She enjoys all mediums, and is especially fond of working plein air with pastel and acrylic.

Peggy taught physical education and coached at all three Santa Barbara area high schools, but is better known for her 30 years directing the Santa Barbara Jazzercise® program and as a leading international speaker and author in the fitness and wellness industry. She is currently the Director of Fitness, Aquatics and Physical Therapy at Vista del Monte, an active retirement community.

Peggy firmly believes that optimum health and well-being is achieved by engaging the body in movement while appreciating the beauty that surrounds us. Her art reflects the level of intensity she applies to all avenues of her life.
